My Mama’s Tea cakes

Mom used to make these cookies when we were growing up. This is the perfect cookie that's almost halfway to a cake. Light and summery with a tangy lemon glaze, this cookie 's texture has a snap but the inside is nice and chewy. The recipe is so simple! It's a great quick recipe to make with your kids or if you are in a hurry for a homemade treat.

The Cookie (Preheat oven to 350)
Prep - 5 minutes
Bake 10-12 Minutes

Ingredients

1 Stick of softened butter
1 C. Sugar
1Tsp. Vanilla
2 eggs
2 C. Flour

The Glaze

1 C. Powdered sugar
1/3 C. Heavy cream
Zest of 1 lemon, the juice of 1 lemon to taste.
Begin with half of the juice of the lemon and increase to suit your taste.
