Everyday is a good day to move

You have probably heard the saying, “sitting is the new smoking”. It’s true that the benefits of movement are enhanced health, stimulated brain function, and a mood elevator. Who doesn’t want all of those things? Movement doesn’t have to be a chore or a scheduled workout. Stretching can be done anytime, anywhere! Dance it out! Put on some great music and move. Take a short walk, even doing a couple laps to the mailbox keeps your joints lubricated and flexible.

I love to workout.  I don’t consider myself a runner in the traditional sense because I can’t do distance. I do like to run about 30 minutes at a time at least three days a week. The other three days, I workout with my trainer, and for my rest day I’ve been using my Peloton Bike.

I don’t know about you, but I like to know what I’m up against with a workout. What I really like about circuit workouts is that my trainer tells me what the exercises are in advance. That allows me to set a goal and see how many I can do in a given time. It’s a great workout routine because it’s high intensity which gets the heart rate up and a good sweat going.
